KS2 Sports Day 2019

Oakley’s Key Stage 2 Sports Day ran with great success. England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland competed against each other for the gigantic cup! The children made their way to the sports field at the university to show off their kicking, throwing, jumping, skipping, hopping and dribbling skills, each one trying to score maximum points for their team.

After a short snack and a chance to catch their breath, the children then took to the 100m and 60m track. We were proud of some speedy sprinting during the races and relay races.

During the afternoon, the children were exercising their brains by answering some tricky sporting questions, again trying to add some much needed points to their totals.

The eventful day concluded with the Sports Day Assembly, where Scotland were presented with the huge trophy.
