Hello from Miss Nicola
Thursday, 01 September 2011 21:33
Hello from Miss Nicola, Welcome to you all. I hope that the weather is starting to warm up after a chilly April and the sun will shine on us for the whole of this month. There is a lot happening over the next few weeks so please make sure you visit the school website and check the newsletter for updates on dates and times once we have confirmation. Year 2 have a trip to look forward to on Monday 14th. They are off to camp for the day – how exciting!! I don’t know who is looking forward to it the most, the children or their teacher’s, with Miss Holly especially keen to show us her skills. As always we ask that children are dressed appropriately with sensible clothing and footwear for the day. We will be out of school all day so we will again be taking a picnic lunch with us. Over the last few weeks we have been preparing to welcome some special visitors into school on THURSDAY 17th , from the Accion Contra El Hambre organisation. They are going to talk to the children about how they can help to raise money to fight against hunger around the world. Mr James has been putting up posters and signs around our department and telling the children about our sponsored event which will be taking place in June. More details will follow in the next Hello from…but the children will be dressing up as their favourite sports star and taking part in sponsored obstacle relay! Of course one of most important weeks of the year takes place at the end of the month with our spectacular DIA DE CANARIAS celebrations. Miss Natalia has been leading the organisation and working very hard to bring the children a fun day of activities on MONDAY 28th and we would then love you to join us at 3:00 on THURSDAY 31st for a special assembly to share our work in the way we know best! As always we encourage the children to come to school in traditional dress. They all look amazing! Just before I go I would like to wish all of our Mum’s a very happy Mother’s Day for the 6th. I am sure if you are good, there might just be a little surprise for you sometime soon. Have a lovely relaxing day, you deserve it!!! Any questions you have about any of this month’s events please ask and we’ll do our best to answer. Thank you. See you next month. Miss Nicola. |
