Key Stage 3

Quote of the day
Hello from Miss Francine
Welcome back everyone! I hope you have all had a restful Easter break! It’s great to be back for our final term of the school year! I know you will join me in welcoming the longer hours of daylight as we tackle the challenges this term will bring!
And what a busy term it is going to be! So, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few important events and activities to be aware of.
Firstly, remember that you will be writing your end of year examinations this term. It is important to keep in mind that your examinations will be a test of what you have learned during the year, and that they are not a memory test! Your teachers will want to see that you can draw on your knowledge to answer exam questions and solve problems; rather than simply repeating your notes and textbook facts. Therefore, it is important to revise wisely and in good time, making sure that you understand your work well throughout the term!
There are also many activities and events to look forward to and prepare for, including our annual Dia de Canarias at the end of May, and our end of year day trip to Aqua Sur at the end of June. We look forward to working with you to celebrate different aspects of Canarian culture; and to sharing a day of fun in the sun to round off the year!
We will also be launching a charity event called the “Run against Hunger” and you will be learning more about this worthwhile cause in your PSCHE lessons and assemblies this term. Keep an eye out for the promotional posters that will also be going up around school telling you how you can get involved! I’m looking forward to hearing your ideas, and seeing how you plan to contribute!
Keep up your energy and enthusiasm, and let’s work together towards a successful end to the year!
