Action Against Hunger – Interactive Lessons
This term the year 10s were put in charge of promoting Action Against Hunger to the younger children at the school. In groups of 3 they were given the daunting task of preparing a full 1hour lesson that would be taught to various year 7 and 8 classes.
They were asked to think about what made a good lesson, remembering that fun and learning weren’t mutually exclusive.
The lessons that the Year 10 groups produced exceeded all expectations and ranged in content from role plays to ‘World Hunger Games.’ The creativity and imagination of the lesson plans was matched by the skill of delivery and all Year 7 and 8 classes thoroughly enjoyed the lesson but most importantly were eager to run far and raise money for Action Against Hunger!
