AUTHORISATION
Oakley College is fully authorised by both the British and Spanish Ministries of Education as a centre providing a British education to pupils.The authorisation from the Spanish Ministry of Education is published in the B.O.C. Nº 130 9/10/95.
VALIDATION
The education provided at Oakley College is fully recognised and validated if a pupil moves to a Spanish school at any time.• Currently formal validation is not necessary for pupils up to and including Year 10 (3º E.S.O.). If pupils have completed a certain year successfully at Oakley they will be automatically accepted into the following year at a Spanish school.
• At the end of Year 11 (4º E.S.O.) studies are validated as the “Educación Secundaria Obligatoria” and the pupils receive the “Homologación de E.S.O.”. Four IGCSE passes (Grades A, B or C) are needed for validation plus passes in the internal marks of the Spanish section of their studies.
• At the end of Year 13 (2º Bachillerato) studies are validated when it is confirmed that the pupil has passed “Bachillerato” and they receive the “Homologación de Bachillerato”. The pupils need two A Level passes or 1 A Level and 2 AS Level passes (Grades A, B, C, D or E) plus passes in the internal marks of the Spanish section of their studies.
UNIVERSITY
After completing Year 13 successfully, pupils have the opportunity to apply to study at Spanish, British or American Universities. During Years 12 & 13 students and parents will be advised about the options available and helped to choose which course they want to follow. British Universities accept applicants with three A Level passes, however it is also possible to gain entry with less. Universities usually ask for certain grades for the pupil’s A Level passes, depending on the course and subject. Passing the “Selectividad” is currently obligatory to obtain a place in a Spanish University.ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

The Senior Management of the school not only are envolved in the inspection process, but also as a member of the Executive Committee, the Managing Director being the president of NABSS.
